Experience with the blog


In general, writing blogs for many weeks has given me the experience of trying to tell each event in English, which always had difficulties for me, since thinking in English is complicated, it is not so much listening or reading, if not It’s like that. You must form sentences or sentences to communicate with other people in this language.

At first it was very difficult to express myself in English, since I had to think about placing grammar, verbs and themes better, so the writing was very slow. However, throughout blogs, I tried to process faster how to place each thing. In a way, I have evolved with writing, but I still have a lot to learn.

I don't know, you should add more time to do the practical parts so that you can always better integrate the sentences and be very fluent and have a minimal error in communication.

In a way, you can write about many things, which can vary greatly according to the tastes of each person, since one group wants to narrate a fun event and another group wants to talk about their greatest hobby, so it is very broad of what It can be written.

In conclusion, it has been an entertaining experience

Neurotoxins


Mechanism of tetanus
The tetanus is an obligatory anaerobic bacillus produces neurotoxins that block of neurotransmitter release from spinal inhibitory interneurons, such as glycine and GABA and travel along peripheral nerves to the central nervous system.

This mechanism is very similar with other neurotoxin called botulinum, who inhibit of acetylcholine release at the neuromuscular junction, but the different the tetanus make a spastic paralysis affecting the whole body, as skeletal muscles or can cause cardiac arrhythmias and fluctuations in blood pressure.

The first bacterium infect named has no cure, but exist a vaccine can easily prevent the infection. Without this necessary prevention the person contracted the infection eventually causing death, sometimes for asphyxia, autonomic dysfunction or bronchopneumonia.

Mechanism of botulism
As you can see, this infection is one of the most dangerous in the world, because attack many organs from the brain to the muscles. For this reason, it is important for investigate and understand for eliminated or use it in other forms, which it happens with the botulinum neurotoxin that is occupied in the aesthetic companies with purpose of temporarily paralyzing smoothing of facial wrinkles call in the trade “Botox”.

Enjoyable Subject


In the school, I was very boring with the all subjects, as math, history or biology because I didn’t enjoy them. In fact, in the mayor the classes, I was sleeping or reading a book.  The professors never challenged me for my good attitude and notes.

However, in the university I have enjoyed more subjects, I have suffered with some, but in general is better that school.

Now, I enjoy to study physiology, this subject is very funny because I can understand different process that occur in all human, as the mechanism of neurotransmitters or how is the function the ion channels voltage dependent, among others.

At the beginning, the teacher was disagreeable with all students and I don't like them, but presently, I have talked in other situation with her and she is very nice, making me want to go to his class. I haven't had many practical parts, but it would have been pleasurable to see this process.


I think that numbers of all students in the subject are approximately 200 persons, maybe I was wrong, but is difficult know this.

Expert that I admire


There have been many scientists who have caught my attention, for distinct reason as your research, your life, etc. However, the scientist that I find most interesting, in term of his research is Andrew Schuerger, who is a researcher at the astrobiology Institute from NASA.

In short, he started his university studies in 1979, during these years he concentrated on studying microbiology and pathogenic plants. In 2000, he entered his investigation in the NASA that observed the survival, growth in the replication of microorganism.



The study that is focused on those years, and the work that has fascinated me most is, the research that explores the survival capacity of a psychrophilic microorganism, on the surface of Mars using simulated environmental variables including ultraviolet irradiation, desiccation, temperature, atmospheric pressure and dust composition.


I find that his studies on bacteria is incredible, because it gives very important functions to the microorganism that are normally taken as organism that harm humans and this is not always the case, as they make very important processes for the environment and its surrounding.
